About Mary Hays Runyon

Mary Hays Runyon is a life and finance coach who brings together the heart of a pastor, the strategy of a business professional, and the empathy of a trusted companion on life’s journey. With over 20 years of experience across ministry, coaching, and financial services, Mary empowers individuals—especially clergy and purpose-driven leaders—to find clarity, confidence, and peace in both life and money.

Mary holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Business Administration from Gardner-Webb University, along with a Bachelor’s in Recreation and Tourism Management with a minor in Economics from the University of Tennessee. Her diverse career has included serving as a campus minister, associate pastor, financial advisor, business professor, and entrepreneur. She understands both the personal and professional challenges faced by those who serve others—and how financial stress and life transitions can impact well-being and calling.

She is trained in clergy coaching through Summit Coach Training (ICF-accredited) and previously held FINRA financial securities licenses along with life insurance credentials in multiple states. Mary offers a practical, faith-informed, and nonjudgmental approach to coaching that integrates personal values, financial stewardship, and life purpose.

Currently based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Mary also serves as Associate Minister of Faith Formation at First Congregational Church and as Campus Minister with United Campus Ministry. Whether you’re discerning next steps, navigating ministry life, or trying to finally feel at peace with your finances, Mary is ready to walk with you.
